You can purchase large male blue crabs measuring 5 1/2 to 6 inches in quantities of 1 dozen, 2 dozen, half bushel, or bushel, depending on the size of your event.
How many large male blue crabs should I order?
Order four to five large male hard crabs per person if serving them alongside other food or about eight to ten as a main course. A bushel of crabs can feed approximately eight people. All of our blue crabs ship in an insulated cooler, we recommend 1 day transit for the freshest crab possible.
How do I reheat blue crabs?
Add two inches of water and 1 cup of vinegar or beer to a pot and bring to a boil. Place the crabs on a rack over the boiling water for 8 minutes. Alternatively, you can reheat steamed crabs in the microwave. Place a damp paper towel over the crabs and cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Lastly, you can reheat steamed crabs in the oven for approximately 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Our friend group has gathered for a crabfeast every year since 1983. We take turns hosting, and schedule a date when everyone is available. This year we were all available on Nov 16th. With the hurricane, my crab didn’t make it on Friday for the Miami Hurricane game 🙌. Thank goodness because I would’ve choked on them because my nerves were shot watching it, we won in the last few minutes. They sent me a new box of large males shipped by air this time and received them on Wednesday morning. They were nice and cold, full of meat. Plus got to enjoy them watching a movie which was less stressful than the Football game. Great product for a great price. Will order more, thank you Patrick for taking care of me!! I am a native of MD. I relocated to PA. We had a family gathering in MD, and I was researching locations to buy bushels of crabs. And Crab Dynasty popped up. After reviewing the sight I decided to give them a try. They made everything so simple. Prices, size, and suggestions on how many you may need for the affair. They came via UPS, steamed and seasoned really well. But know this, they're packed in a cooler with icepaks for freshness. I tell you; the flavor was there, you could almost taste the sea water. We got the large. Good size and they were "PACKED" with meat. The delivery was right on time. Being a Maryland hometown girl, I felt good when the people, who I know are crab eaters, really enjoyed them. I recommended you guys to several people. And anyone who reads this, for price, customer, and delivery service, and defintely the taste. They did it. I even managed to save 2 dozen to bring back with me to PA. My husband and neighbor were impressed. I will definitely do this again.
