Luscious chunks of crabmeat burst out of Crab Dynasty's hard shell crabs. Preferred by many, female crabs have the bonus of containing crab roe in the spring and fall months. Crab Dynasty's medium female hard crabs measure five to six inches from point to point -- a perfect size to serve as a tasty treat or the centerpiece of any meal! Medium females are sold in quantities of 1 dozen, 2 dozen, half bushel and bushel.
How many medium female blue crabs should I order?
Order about four to five crabs per person if serving them alongside other food or about eight to ten medium female crabs per person as a main course. A bushel of crabs can feed approximately eight people. All of our blue crabs are ship in an insulated cooler, and we recommend 1 day shipping for the freshest crabs possible.
How do I reheat steamed crabs?
Add two inches of water and 1 cup of vinegar or beer to a pot and bring to a boil. Place the crabs on a rack over the boiling water for 8 minutes. Alternatively, you can reheat steamed blue crabs in the microwave. Place a damp paper towel over the crabs and cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Lastly, you can reheat steamed crabs in the oven for approximately 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
The package was delivered as promised. The crabs came with packaging ice blocks and still too cold to touch with full of spices. The crabs are heavy and full, upon opening a few, female crabs have the orange roe which tastes good. Will buy again.
