Each bushel of our standard male blue crabs contains at least seven dozen crabs. Purchase them for your next large gathering or intimate dinner in quantities of 1 dozen, two dozen, half bushel, or bushel. All of our crabs ship in an insulated cooler.
How many standard male blue crabs should I order?
Order about six crabs per person if serving them alongside other food or about a eight to twelve crabs per person as a main course. A bushel of crabs can feed approximately eight people. Above all, order with your heart -- these reccommendations are just ballpark numbers.
How do I reheat steamed crabs?
Add two inches of water and 1 cup of vinegar or beer to a pot and bring to a boil. Place the crabs on a rack over the boiling water for 8 minutes. Alternatively, you can reheat steamed blue crabs in the microwave. Place a damp paper towel over the crabs and cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Lastly, you can reheat steamed crabs in the oven for approximately 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
I ordered the Crab Bushel which consists of 7 dozen. I requested standard size, and boy was my wife surprised! They're bigger than any Crabs in my area, fresher, and I had them cooked in beer and Old Bay seasoning. Delivered to my door in 2 days flat! By 10:30am - my wife was knee deep in Crabs!!! Thank you for making our Father’s day! My dad has missed blue crab since we’ve left the DC area and when we got the crab, he said this was the best Father’s Day gift! The crabs are standard male but still a great size and a really good cost! Well 100% be ordering crabs from yall again!
