Standard Male Hard Crabs

Each bushel of our standard male blue crabs contains at least seven dozen crabs. Purchase them for your next large gathering or intimate dinner in quantities of 1 dozen, two dozen, half bushel, or bushel. All of our live crabs ship in an insulated cooler via 1-day transit.

How many standard male blue crabs should I order?

Order about six crabs per person if serving them alongside other food or about a eight to twelve crabs per person as a main course. A bushel of crabs can feed approximately eight people. Above all, order with your heart -- these reccommendations are just ballpark numbers.

How do I reheat steamed crabs?

Add two inches of water and 1 cup of vinegar or beer to a pot and bring to a boil. Place the crabs on a rack over the boiling water for 8 minutes. Alternatively, you can reheat steamed blue crabs in the microwave. Place a damp paper towel over the crabs and cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Lastly, you can reheat steamed crabs in the oven for approximately 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
